Blog - Photo Editing Point

Posted by Trish on December 5th, 2020

As soon as I set out to gather quotes for this post, I meant to make a round-up of their greatest Photoshop suggestions from bloggers within our community. I more-or-less assumed that many established bloggers were utilizing this app to edit their pictures before submitting. When I reached out into a couple of bloggers to obtain their input, I had been amazed to hear back that almost all of them don't even use Photoshop -- but instead a whole slew of different editing tools and programs. Alicia out of Cheetah is the New Black uses Keynote, and Katy Atlas of SugarLaws uses Google+. From Lightroom into Picassa, here are a sampling of their greatest picture tips from bloggers: Lacey Maffettone (A Lacey Perspective) on Picasa:"I use Picasa (a part of Google) to edit my photographs. My favourite feature is, undoubtedly, the"I'm Feeling Lucky" button. It is a one-click approach to get the colors in the photograph to balance (that's whether the picture was too dull or too bright). Sometimes it works beautifully and there are some other times that it does not. but most of the time I feel pretty lucky. " Christina Topacio (ProFresh Style) on Adobe Lightroom:"In Lightroom, there is a import button to get filters that makes editing super easy. My main tip would be to Google"Lightroom presets" to provide you quick and simple edited photos without too much work. (It is like downloading Photoshop fonts or stamps). I have over 40 presets I filter with with little tweaks. " Grace Atwood (Stripes & Sequins) on Photoshop:"I've got both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements but use Elements for every one my collages and producing images.
The best tip I learned was how to erase an backdrop. It is helpful to create images + pictures. You merely take your picture, create a duplicate layer, then deactivate the background layer. (Click on the little eye tool from the layers tab. ) Use the magic wand tool to pick the background (play with the tolerance attribute to ensure you catch the whole background and not elements of your image, ) and then hit delete. Voila. Your picture is currently background-free. Fantastic for layering or creating a collage. If You'd like to save it, save it as a PNG file -- perhaps not even a JPEG. if you save a JPEG, it will automatically add a snowy background. " IFB's favorite"quick and dirty" editing tools: Pixlr. Com: It is basically a free version of Photoshop on your browser. Wonderful, right? We use it to make collages, edit and add text to our images. (Read our overview of Pixlr here! ) Picmonkey. Com: This in-browser editor is now to replace Picnik.
