The manufacturer recommends that you should clean your Fujitsu scanner after every 5,000 scanned sheets. You should apply cleaner F1 to the cleaning paper and clean the pad, glass/sheet guide, pick roller, plastic rollers and feed rollers. These areas need attention because some parts of the document scanner are consumables and you have to change them after a period of time. If you keep the consumables cleaned and you take care of your Fujitsu scanner you do not have to change so often the consumables.

With the dry cloth and cleaner F1 you can clean all the surfaces of the document scanner. That means that you can clean the document holding pad and document bed together with all the document scanner parts that you can clean with paper and Cleaner F1 and you can also clean the pick arm rollers. If you haven’t had a Fujitsu scanner before, you might not know how these scanner parts look like. With the cotton swab and cleaner F1 and F2 you can easily clean the plastic rollers and the pick arm rollers. You have to moisten the cotton swab with cleaner F1 and cleaner F2 and then just easily wipe the small plastic rollers at the tip of the pick arm. After that you have to dry the plastic rollers with a dry cloth. If you use non-carbon paper, you should know that pick arm rollers can become dirty with a substance that is black. If this thing happens, you should clean the surface with the cleaner F2.

You should remember that you can clean all surfaces of your document scanner with cleaner F1 not with cleaner F2. You do not have to clean the pad rubbers with cleaner F2 and also you do not have to apply cleaner F2 to the pad rubber. It is very important not to make the mistake of applying cleaner F2 instead of cleaner F1 because you may damage your pad rubbers. Also you have to remember that you can clean with cleaner F2 only the plastic rollers of your Fujitsu scanner, the pick rollers have to be cleaned only with cleaner F1.
