It's been a tough year for us all, and many are looking at spending another holiday at home in the coming weeks.

If you're one of those, make the best out of it! Here are ten at-home activities that are EASY but also super fun and still exemplify the holiday spirit.

1. Have a Christmas Movie Marathon

Spend at least one day in pajamas, drinking hot cocoa, and snuggling with someone you love to your holiday favorites.

2. Make Treats for Someone

Doing good for others makes you feel good too. So, spend some time baking in your kitchen for family, friends, or neighbors. Not a baker? Pick up a cheap treat at the store to pass out!

3. Make a Christmas Card for Someone Special

Everyone loves receiving mail at Christmas.

4. Make Gingerbread Houses

Buy a ready-made kit, or do it from scratch with graham crackers, icing, and old Halloween candy! The most creative house gets a prize!

5. Walk Around the Neighborhood

See how your neighbors did on their lights this year!

6. Make Rudolph Pancakes

All this takes is pancakes, whipped cream, frozen fruit, and a few pieces of bacon for the antlers. Simple and festive!

7. Wear an Ugly Christmas Sweater

There's nothing that gets you in the mood like a horrendous article of clothing!

8. Plan a Simple Date With Your Partner

Enjoy appetizers by the fire (to holiday music) once the kids are in bed for a special and cozy winter date.

9. Take a Christmas Walk

If you're not busy, then get outside in nature and re-connect with the beauty of the outdoors. A walk or nature hike right after it snows is also a wonderful way to gain quiet reflection time.

10. Plan Your New Year's Resolutions

And finally, if you're done with the craziness of 2020, begin planning out your goals for the coming year. What will you need to learn to reach and grow next year? What does your process need to look like to accomplish your dreams? Map it out now!

In Conclusion

Even if you can't get out or see lots of family this holiday season, there's still plenty of fun and reflection to be had. So, keep your chin up and be aware of the many blessings that we have.
