Calgary Nightclubs and Things to do in Calgary

There are many entertaining nightclubs in Calgary. Not into nightclubs? Don’t worry, there are quite a lot of things to do in Calgary.

Calgary – the city with less than 1 million people-, but with events that can keep you busy all day long and a  night, has to offer something for all tastes and all ages.

You can grab your friends and choose from the variety of activities. You can have some great laughter at the outdoor paintball field “Capture The Flag “.You can play privately with your friends, or join another group. Shell out $7 to play this game once and it  covers all equipment (camouflage, face mask, chest protector, marker), unlimited playing time, the "all you can eat" hot dog BBQ as well as crystal powdered drinks. Get ready for some fun and chase in colors!

For those who prefer indoor activities, you can go  bowling at the Century Casino Calgary; or play pool, at the Bootleggers Sports Bar and Karaoke Lounge, where every Monday you can play unlimited FREE POOL from 6pm till closing time, and munch on some tacos for  99 cents.

There are lots of different things to do in Calgary for children as well, both entertaining and educational.

The North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre offers art classes for three and four year olds, providing them with some great art experience through painting, collage and 3D art. At the Mount Royal Conservatory, children from 3 till 9 years of age can get some professional violin classes for $200. Classes are held every Tuesday. Or if you want them to learn some martial arts, the West Hillhurst Community Association offers karate lessons every Tuesday and Thursday, for beginners and the more advanced ones.

Being the largest city in the province of Alberta, and the third largest one in the country, Calgary also has a lively, bustling nightlife and a lot of famous Calgary nightclubs. Whether you are looking for a quiet night out, or a party with your friends you will surely find something nice to do.

Are you that Latino-kind-of soul, passionate about dancing? Well, you can move your hips at some salsa or Argentinean tango, every Monday at the Dance Energy Premier Center of Dance. You are more into contemporary dance? Or Jazz dance? No problem! The University of Calgary offers a variety of dances, both introductory and advanced, so you can choose from Hip-Hop, Ballet, and Jazz. Classes are usually every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

For those that are more confident with their singing performances, you can show off at the Bootleggers Sports Bar & Karaoke Lounge. Open every day except Mondays. Be there at 10pm or later and grab the mic singing to one of your favorite songs and show your talents. Or just grab a table and a chair, and enjoy the performances while enjoying your drink.

 The hip-hop/funk music lovers can enjoy themselves every Monday and Tuesday at the Hoodoo Lounge and Nightclub. The DJ will take care of the atmosphere, while you take care of the cash. Everything is $3.75.
