Meet the Characters of the Movie Fifty Shades of grey

Fifty Shades of Grey is an upcoming romantic drama film, based on the best-selling novel of the same name by E.L. James. The film is directed by Sam Taylor-wood with a screenplay by Kelly Marcel, Patrick Marber and Mark Bomback. The movie “Fifty Shades…” is set to be released on February 13, 2015. Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are playing the leading roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele respectively. The other characters which will be seen when the movie 50 shades hits the big screen are as follows.

Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey- Christian Grey is a man with a complicated past. Christian Grey is described as the “epitome of male beauty” in the novel. Christian Grey is a successful businessman and has a kinky secret. He’s into BDSM and soon he invites the shy young girl Anastasia Steele into his world.

Dakota Johnson as Anastasia SteeleAnastasia Steele is a college student. She meets Christian Grey when she is sent to interview him for student newspaper instead of her best friend Kate Kavanagh. Ana finds herself quite attracted to him. She then begins to grow closer to him overtime, but soon learns there is a darker side to Christian Grey.

Eloise Mumford as Katherine Kavanagh- Kate is Anastasia’s best friend and roommate. Kate is an aspiring journalist and is the editor of WSUV’s student newspaper. The two college friends are polar opposites, with Kate being the more outgoing and confident while Ana is bit shy. Kate was meant to be interviewing Christian, but she falls sick, handing over the assignment to Ana. If Kate never fall sick Christian and Ana would have never met. At first Kate is all for her friend’s new romance, until she starts to notice changes in Ana’s behavior and become suspicious of Christian.

Luke Grimes as Elliot Grey- Elliot Grey is the adoptive son of Carrick Grey and Dr Grace Trevelyan Grey, and elder brother to Christian Grey and Mia Grey. Elliot grey is equally handsome as Christian Grey. Elliot is introduced in Fifty Shades of Grey when he accompanies his brother to pick up drunken Anastasia at a bar in Portland. There he meets Kate Kavanagh, who becomes his girlfriend.

Rita Ora as Mia Grey- Mia Grey is the adoptive daughter of Carrick Grey and Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey and adoptive younger sister of Christian Grey and Elliot Grey. She is bubbly and outgoing. She has a crush on Ethan Kavangh and they start dating near the end of the series.

Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey: Dr Grace is the adoptive mother of Christian Grey. She is a pediatrician and was the attending physician who treated four-year old Christian Grey after his biological mother committed suicide. Dr. Grace is married to Carrick Grey.

Jennifer Ehle as Carla May Wilks – Carla plays the role of Anastasia’s mother. Ana describes her mother as forgetful, easily bored and financially unstable. Carla is currently on her fourth husband Bob Adams. The character of Bob Adams is played by Dylan Neal in the movie Fifty Shades of Grey.

Callum Keith Rennie as Ray Steele- Ray Steele is the stepfather of Anastasia Steele and the ex-husband of Carla May Wilks. Ana considers Ray to be her real father.

Max Martini as Jason Taylor-Taylor is Christian’s most trusted bodyguard and he is the head of Christian’s security team. Ana sees a lot of similarities between Taylor and her step dad Ray.

Anthony Konechy as Paul Clayton- Paul Clayton is the brother of the owner of the Clayton’s Hardware Store, where Ana was employed for four years during the start of the triology. Paul has a crush on Ana, and asks her on a date every time he is in the town. While Anastasia is fond of Paul, she views him as a friend only.

Victor Rasuk as Jose Rodriguez- Jose is a close friend of Anastasia. Jose also finds him attracted towards Anastasia. Jose is not Christian’s biggest fan.
