Most of the parents are confused when they are asked if their child requires tuition. Several factors indicate the answer to this burning question. Children show unique signs when they want extra help beyond a regular school system.

So, to determine if your child needs extra help, discover the following clues:

  • Slipping school grades – If you understand that your child can do better than what they have scored in the class, or if you notice a sudden decline in their test scores then probably this is the time when a child requires individual assistance.

There are times when a child is unable to keep up with the pace of the class, which results in slipping grades. At this time, a child needs a personal tutor.

  • Trouble completing homework – Sometimes you may notice that your child is making excuses for doing homework, or is taking more time to complete the class assignments. A child may lack the interest to do their home works as they may not able to understand the assigned work. So, one session with the help of a private home tutor may solve the issue.

  • Asking a child to explain the concept – A child may not be able to understand the concepts taught in the school. They may have developed a habit of memorizing the answers. You can check this by asking them to explain how they derived a particular answer. If a child struggles to explain the concepts, then this is the indication that they require a private tutor.

  • Lacking confidence – Sometimes, a child may show clear signs that they are not able to do well in the class. They may get stuck on specific subjects over time and may develop a habit of repeated mistakes. A child may say that they are not smart enough to be in a particular class. It indicates the requirement for outside help.

Visual Signs:

Researches from an Indian school in Dubai depicts that children need extra help when they show signs of:

  • Anxiety before test

  • Frequently incomplete homework

  • Falling grades even after working hard

  • Reluctant behavior to go to school.

  • Lack of confidence and motivation

  • Losing interests in all of the daily chores

  • Behavioral change in class and at home

  • Saying – ‘I will never understand this.’

Teachers of Indian schools in Dubai provide extra help to the children when and where required. Before and after school tutoring, ensures a weak child to learn with the pace of the class.

Conclusion

A child may suffer from an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD). It will result in a struggle to keep them up. Tuning in to your child’s schoolwork problems early, and providing them with the help they need, will make it easier for them to hop back on board.

If you feel that you’re unable to give the time your child needs, then a home tutor can be an excellent choice to help in growing a child’s confidence.
