If you are searching for the perfect custom stickers in the UK, this blog can help you choose the best one. The goal is to provide you with enough details to make the correct decision. There are four important steps that you need to follow in order to get the perfect custom sticker.

4 Step Guide To Choosing A Custom Sticker

The following are the 4 steps:

  1. Choosing the right material

  2. Laminated or not?

  3. Selecting the perfect adhesive

  4. Individual, on sheets, or roll?

Experience teaches that so many customers buy the wrong sticker and spend more than they need. This guide lets you make the right choices, saving you time and money!

Let's get started here.

Choose The Right Material

This is an essential part of all. Executing this right could be the gap between your sticker having years of sticking and looking fantastic (something we all want) vs disintegrating at the first touch or drop of water.

But don't think about it! It's simple to make the correct choice with the details that you are about to read.

When we speak about the material, we mean the surface on which the layout is printed.

There are two major types of material to pick from, paper or plastic. The selection is based on your usage and purpose.

Laminated Or Not?

Identifying whether or not you need a laminate on your custom sticker will save you hard-earned cash.

The two key choices are either matte or gloss. This is primarily due to choice.

You need to ask yourself the following questions in order to get the perfect fit:

  • Will the sticker be used outdoors?

  • Will it be scratched, rubbed or held repeatedly?

  • Do you own a high-class brand and want to deliver the conception of quality?

  • Are you seeking the lowest cost option?

  • Are you planning to use it only once?

  • Will the sticker be placed indoors?

Selecting the perfect adhesive

Although there are several different forms of adhesive, consistency is the most significant element.

Removable

Detachable grade stickers are used for situations where you choose to remove the sticker after a very short period and leaving no trace.

Permanent

These are used in 90% of the cases, as these can be stuck on all the materials.

High tack

This is an industrial-strength glue for those who are hard to hold on software. Go for these if you are placing these on rubber or low energy plastic

Individual, on sheets, or rolls

Doing this right will save you precious hours! Choose from; individually cut, sticker sheets or roll stickers.

To further illustrate how critical this is, there was a test conducted to add 1000 stickers to 3cm circles. It took 2 hours and 17 minutes to be cut separately, although it took 48 minutes to be cut on board. This saves 1 hour and 29 minutes, or 65 percent.

Individual cut

These are easy to store and also the safest to purchase in limited amounts.

If you prefer independently cut stickers, you have two key options: kiss-cut or die-cut.

Stickers on sheet

If you are beginning to add several hundred or even thousands of stickers on items or packaging, it is recommended that you position the stickers on the sheets.

All stickers are kiss-cut through the sticker layer but stay on the back of the paper in the shape of a sheet, making them super simple and easy to detach.

Sheets are fine too if you want to compose on them. Sheets come in several different dimensions, but A4 and A5 are preferred, if the size of your sticker allows, so it's very easy to deliver.

Stickers on rolls

The advantages of rolls are identical to sheets because they are easy to adhere to.

Rolls are especially helpful if the stickers are automatically/semi-automatically applied by a dispenser or printer.

Similar to the sticker sheets, the roll stickers are kiss-cut through the sticker coating but stay on the back of the paper in the shape of a sheet or roll, making them easy to peel and add. There are several ways you can add stickers to rolls.
