  1. General Preparedness

    1. Be Unique: You need to be different from other applicants for the scholarship. Academic excellence is becoming very common these days. A good co-curricular skill, Experience with an NGO, Projects in robotics or aeromodelling, and a unique digital initiative are a few things that help put your application much above than many others.

    2. Choose the Path Less Traversed: Search high and low for all types of scholarships that you are eligible for and apply for the scholarships where you have much less competition.

  2. Ace Your Application

    1. Apply for All: Parents are familiar with the law of averages. The more chances you get, the more your success is probable.

    2. Do not Short-Sell or Oversell: Sell yourself in just the apt limit. Please do not go overboard with it nor sell yourself short.

    3. Be Relevant: Find the scholarships which are relevant to your field of study or work. While applying for it also attach relevant supporting documents.

    5. Recommendation Letter: If you have a relevant recommendation letter, then it is recommended to submit it with your application. This letter may be from your mentor or guide on an internship or your teacher at schools.

    6. Essay Question: Always get your essay vetted if possible before you submit it. Make sure you have no grammatical issues and do not shy away from selling yourself in it if the topic allows you to.

  1. Interview

    1. Dress Professionally: You need to realize that you will be judged just as you step-in so dress to impress.

    2. Know Your way: Know about the scholarship, the body providing it, your field, and if possible, the people on the panel.

Show Interest: Do not shy away from asking questions. It would help if you always gave the impression of being interested without being intrusive.
