Education in Singapore is held in high esteem, and that is why scholarships are offered in many categories. These are the most prominent among them:

1. Merit-Based: These scholarships are given to students who have an extraordinary record in academics, sports, or artistic fields. 

2. Student-Specific: These scholarships are awarded based on race, ethnicity. 

3. Career-Specific: These scholarships are provided to students who are willing to venture out into specific careers. 

4. School-Specific: The Singapore schools provide these scholarships for outstanding performance by a candidate.

5. Need-Based: These scholarships are awarded to the candidates who have a particular disability or financial need. These students do need to have an excellent academic record.

There are many applicants for these scholarships, and a student needs to stand out of the crowd for the selection panel so that they may be convinced to give him/her their money. The following are the significant steps that need to be taken:
