Exercise, Good Diet, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Play Major Role in Stroke

Stroke is a major impairment of the brain and one that can be prevented if stroke management is undertaken at the right time. Stroke occurs when blood to the brain is stopped by a blood clot (venous thrombus) or due to a hemorrhage (hemorrhage). When this happens the flow of blood to the brain is stopped; this causes the brain to deteriorate and the patient to become unconscious, as well as suffer from seizures, loss of consciousness and movement problems.

Once the flow of blood to the brain is affected, it cannot receive the necessary nutrients and oxygen that are needed to function properly. Therefore, a major part of stroke management involves blood supply improvement, as blood gives the brain the nutrients and oxygen it requires to survive. Improving the blood supply to the brain is a vital aspect of stroke recovery, and there are several ways this can be achieved. There are also several exercises that stroke victims can do to improve their blood supply and improve the overall rate of recovery.

Exercise is a very important part of stroke management. The more the exercise, the better the blood flow to the brain will be and the more the brain will be supplied with the nutrients and oxygen it needs. This in turn will speed up the recovery process and reduce the risks of any additional strokes. Another important part of the recovery plan for stroke patients is a good diet.
