By enabling units/weapons out of cheap PSO2 Meseta

You could look at any given F2P game cynically in that way -- the only reason to start any F2P match (or game, really) is to at least break-even or profit. But if they'd just launched NGS without bringing over the original PSO2 in any way, there would be a good deal of articles NA players could be missing out on, which includes items you may get in Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta and take around to NGS. (Which is the reason even using Tweaker and playing the JP servers would not be the same, as you couldn't carry any of the over to NA servers.) Plus, given that they decided original PSO2 will stand alongside NGS, they were going to need to port both over anyway, so better to do it in phases.

By enabling units/weapons out of cheap PSO2 Meseta to be attracted into NGS, it is going to give folks a reason to keep on playing PSO2 to be able to support their progress in NGS, and I guess they will incentivize individuals doing this at least in the first year or two before NGS is much more fleshed out and fully-featured. In a way such as the relationship between PSO2es and PSO2 in Japan.)This should be similar to it's own article. Im coming to this conclusion as well. Initially I was skeptical but now that I know the larger vision more, it's all making sense. I'm really glad we do not need to wait 8 decades and are getting it all at once.

When there were farmable makeup and emotes, I'd agree. However, your"end game", can not be from simply buying stuff through the money shop or gated monies like FUN. That actually isn't an end game if you can not actually spend time in game to generate progress towards it.
