How Green Tea Speeds Up The Metabolism?

The ancient Chinese used to take green tea as medicine to cure headaches and heal wounds.

Unlike coffee, green tea is not found in the corner of every street. But no one can argue against the nutritional benefits of this Asian brew. With the strong flavonoids of green tea, it is found to combat several chronic diseases.

Only recently another benefit of green tea was discovered i.e. increasing metabolism which is crucial for weight loss. Realizing the benefits of green tea, the Private Label Organic Tea Manufacturers have started offering different types of green tea.

Helps To Mobilize The Fat

Have you seen the arduous fat burning exercise that leaves the person out of breath and exhausted?

What if I tell you there is another way of breaking your fat cells to move them into your bloodstream?

It is hard to digest, but green tea has more or less the same effect as work out. The studies have shown several active compounds in green tea that help to increase the effects of your hormones that are designed to burn fats. For instance, a fat-burning hormone called norepinephrine works more efficiently, when antioxidant EGCG present in green tea prevents an enzyme to dissolve it. This further increases the production of norepinephrine, promoting a faster breakdown of fat. Caffeine is also present in green tea, therefore ECGC and caffeine produce synergistic effects by releasing broken fat cells into the bloodstream.

Catechin is another magical antioxidant present in green tea. Catechin and caffeine boost metabolism by breaking the bulks of fat, giving more energy and reducing more fat. A recent study showed how green tea can stimulate weight loss in people suffering from obesity.

While it was found that green tea has a positive impact on weight loss, the result was not significant, and the authors concluded that it was unlikely to be of clinical importance. However, the researchers used a great amount of catechin and caffeine to conclude this, such an amount is not present in a regular cup of tea.

Burning Calories

A normal healthy human body is constantly burning the calories. That is because whether you are sleeping, crying or just sitting idly, you need energy for everything. This energy comes from the calories you have consumed through food. Many studies have proved that EGCG can trigger more calories to burn.

A person who is in the habit of taking green tea regularly burns 2000 calories on average. This is similar to calories burning through a high-protein diet. Some studies even proved that the metabolic boosting effect even tends to stay for the long term.

Activation of good ‘fat’

Sounds unreal, right?

But it is true, a human body has two types of fats i.e. White fat and Brown fat!

White fat is something we all are familiar with, it is that squishy white stuff that appears in our body every time we put on some extra weight. Whereas, brown fat is a fat that is metabolically active and therefore it helps to burn our extra calories. The brown fat also sucks the white fat out of your body and can significantly improve the level of insulin. To put it in a nutshell, brown fat acts like a magic potion stored in the body.  Unfortunately, brown fat is found in much lesser quantity and it gets even lesser as you age.  This is where green tea comes to the rescue. According to a study published in one of the topmost American journals, the catechin and caffeine present in green tea help in the production of more brown fats and the greater the quantity of brown fat, the better would be your metabolism.

Bursting The Belly Fat

EGCG is the kind of catechin that green tea has in bulks. It is the most powerful compound that is filled with weight shrinking properties. What EGCG does is that it revs up the metabolism by stimulating the fat breakdown and by also blocking the production of upcoming fat cells.  EGCG in green tea is found in varying quantities however, an average cup of green tea contains 25-86 milligrams.
