Gary Null ? the anti-establishment man

Gary Null is a well known name in the American natural health forums. For years he has maintained a strong viewpoint that the best way to stay healthy is to stay natural. He believes in alternative healing and naturopathy. His views on this topic are often radical and this is why he has his fair share of critics.

Gary Null has always been one of the biggest critics of the mainstream medicine industry. He believes that the American pharmaceutical companies don’t really care for preventing sickness. Their objectives are more commercial in nature. He has been at constant loggerheads with the pharma companies because they have continued to vehemently oppose his views.

In 1979-1980, Null started his series called “The Politics of Cancer”. The series was published in Penthouse. The first post of this series was titled “The Great Cancer Fraud”. What Null wanted to prove through these posts is that the medical establishment tries to suppress evidences on natural cancer healing techniques because they want to make money by selling their medicines.

Gary Null also says that HIV doesn’t cause AIDS. This is a very radical thought that was posted in his book AIDS: A Second Opinion. Null mentioned in this book that there are dietary supplements that help in the cure of AIDS and one need not depend on medicines alone.

Now all these views may seem rather fantastic and this is why Null has been criticized a lot. To his credit, Null has not shied away from voicing his opinions. The journey that he started in 1979-1980 still continues and he still fights the medical establishment and those that he calls are commercial minded.

Null doesn’t fight the medical establishment alone. He also has his fights against the FDA. He is one of the rare people that sued the FDA. Gary Null says that the food that we are sold in the country is mostly genetically altered. Hence, it has lesser food value and it also causes a wide range of diseases. What he wants people to consume is certified organic food. He is also a believer in choosing water over any other beverage. Colas and other sugar based drinks is what he wants people to stay away from. And he has his full range of diet supplements that he believes can help someone to lead a healthy life.

At the end of the day, Gary Null is a philanthropist at heart. He is not a salesman and he doesn’t promote or endorse products. The products that he promotes and endorses are those that he believes in. While he has his critics, he also has his followers. Millions have benefited by following what Null talks about. Hence, it is quite obvious that he has a celebrity status. He is almost 70 now and yet, he continues to be as energetic and vocal as he has always been.
