The experience of dining out is incomplete without comfort, but the key factors that work towards providing the ultimate comfort are often ignored and overlooked. While eating at a restaurant, the ambience and furniture of the place impress the guests just as much as the good food does. Beautiful and comfortable chairs leave a lasting impression on the customers and give them the extra push to dine there.

Restaurant chairs play a major role in the ambience and theme of the restaurant while also communicating directly with the customers by providing them comfort and coziness. Sticking to the theme of the restaurant, architecture and ambience is always key to achieving the perfect interiors. Another important factor is to invest only in well-made and good quality chairs that are sure to last a long time. Most restaurants use four-legged chairs with straight backs, made specifically for commercial use. While there is no one thing that can be called as the Restaurant Chair, various different options are available when choosing the perfect chair for your restaurant. Some options worth considering are:

Banquet Chair

These are durable and stackable chairs that can be found in a variety of shapes, colours, sizes and prices. They can be stacked up to various metres high and hence save a lot of space in storage. They are foldable and can be easily purchased in bulk. Good quality Banquet chairs are made with durable materials while also being extremely lightweight for easy handling. Various fabric and cushion options are also available.

Parsons Chair

These are comfortable traditional chairs which can be considered a high-back armless variant of the Side Chair. The seat and back of the chair are padded and covered in fabric. These are often associated with fine dining and elegant restaurants. They can be bought as sets of two, four and in bulk according to the requirement.

Side Chair

These are straight backed chairs that stand on four legs. These are armless and generally sit around the sides of the dining table.

These are accent chairs with arm rests to provide additional comfort. The key difference from Side Chair is the presence of arms. These are generally placed at the head of the table.

Windsor Chair

These are characterised by sunken saddle seats and a bowed back that features spindles and legs. They are generally made using solid wood, and were first used in early England. They are quite common with American retro themed restaurants and country cafes. The chair has inspired many modern iterations, and is often used in various dining destinations.

Ladderback Chair

Obtaining its name from its similarity to the rungs of a ladder, the Ladderback chair was first made in the middle ages. As craftsmen learnt to design them from walnut, they became an icon of luxury. It features wooden horizontal slats, and with its unique height and stature, looks extremely well. These are utilitarian chairs with a rustic theme, and its seats are often made using cane.
