Taking a look at Stock Car racing
An example of a popular modification is the rear wing that is added to all stock cars used in racing. This spoiler forces air moving over the car to provide enough downward pressure to stabilize the vehicle and provide some degree of roll-over protection during a stock car race.
In auto racing sports, a stock car race is typically played on a track that has an oval design and can be made of dirt or asphalt. There is also the stock car race that is run on the roads, but they are very rare.
The tracks vary in length, from the short track, which is about a quarter mile in length, to the super highways, which can be up to 2.66 miles in length. Top speeds on short tracks can reach up to 220 mph; however, speeds on the super tracks are now restricted to a maximum of 187 mph.
Stock car racing originated with the racers of the Prohibition era. Such was the need to leave the law behind when using moonlight that racers soon began modifying their cars to run faster and more efficiently. This soon turned into a competition between racers and in the early 1930s the sport of auto racing began to organize. Because the rules for the races were so varied, many wanted more uniformity. In 1948, NASCAR became a reality.
There are many stock car race tracks in addition to Nascar. Some examples of these include IMCA, or International Motor Contest Association, ARCA, or Automobile Racing Club of America, and CRA, or Championship Racing Association. These are the "minor leagues" of stock car racing. กีฬาแข่งรถ
In addition to these and the Nascar circuit, you will find other clubs, such as the Craftsman Truck Series and the Busch Series. Like in baseball, drivers don't start at Nascar. They must enter the sport at the bottom and reach the top. They have to go out there and prove themselves and then wait to be invited to drive for a professional auto racing team.
