Brand New 6 cell battery While battery life depends on the computer hardware and how you use the computer, a new 6-cell lithium-ion battery in an average computer should last 4 to 6 hours, plus or minus an hour. Unfortunately, this number changes as the battery is used regularly. After some use Lithium-ion batteries also show signs of degradation after time. Gradually, with each charge and discharge, the battery will be able to hold less than one charge. Charge capacity will drop even lower if you leave the battery unused for an extended period of time. Bottom line Depending on the use of the laptop, the 6-cell lithium-ion battery in your Gateway M-6750 will typically hold 2.5 to 4 hours of charge.
