Calling Card Pal ? Not your usual Calling Card App

Posted by netspectrum1 on June 23rd, 2014

Long since it has been since I have used calling card and I was put into an urgent situation to find a calling card when a few of my friends suddenly decided to make a long trip abroad. After a long and painful search, I ended up choosing a calling card, but a new problem of simplifying my dialing process just came out of the blue. This is when I bumped into Calling Card Pal. And, I should say my search ended right there and a need to further my search looking for a better app never have risen. There are too many things that I can say about Calling Card Pal, but in order to let people know how Calling Card Pal could be better than any other apps out there, I have analyzed a few aspects of the app below.

How it Works

Calling Card Pal has one of the simplest setups I have ever come across. I didn’t have to read the descriptions at all, as the images at displayed at the Google Play Store page of this app told me everything that has to be done to configure this app. The process is so simple and the whole setup has be done in just 5 steps, just like they promised:

  1. I have entered my phone number in the first screen, with the Country Code prefix. As soon as I entered my phone number, it identified my country.
  2. I never had to change the international prefix. So, I left the default International Prefix corresponding to my calling card and my friends’ numbers, as it is.
  3. Entered the Access Number of my calling card. No spaces, codes, hyphens required.
  4. This is the part I love the most about this app. They offered me three options to choose from – a usual Pinless Dialing and “With Pin Number” option, and an excitingly new “Advanced Setup”. Inserting the required number of commas is all it takes and Calling Card Pal does the trick of including the pauses in between the pin number. I guess they have made it with people like me in mind, not forgetting some crazy calling cards that require pins with pauses in between.
  5. Ending digit configuration is the last thing in the setup, where I had to leave the “#” as it is.

That’s it! I was all set and as I wanted to see if this app really works, I dialed one of my friends’ number stored in my phonebook, directly from my Android Smartphone’s dial pad. And magic! Calling Card App did everything I had to do manually and connected me to my friend in a matter of seconds. No dialing of prefixes, access numbers, pin numbers (with pauses) and not even a hashtag, as simple as that. I would have taken at least 10 minutes to get myself connected to my friend, if I had to do everything manually.

The Oomph Factor of Calling Card Pal

After a week’s experience of this app’s exemplary performance, I happened to visit their website and I was surprised to see that this app can be used by Calling Card agencies with their own logos incorporated. Yes! If you are a Calling Card vendor, you can distribute Calling Card Pal app to your customers, and you can have your own logo displayed in phones, app menu and websites if you pay a meagre Vendor signup amount. This, is just something you can never get with Skype or any other apps out there, and I’m pretty sure about that.

Calling Card Pal is an app that every Android and iPhone user, who makes regular calls internationally and uses a Calling Card, must have. I highly recommend this app to everyone and Calling Vendors, you too should try checking out the cool features and services of Calling Card Pal.
