It was started in September 1990 by Bill Bixby with the mission of "re-discovering America's literary roots." The goal of the magazine is to publish quality literature & fiction that are both historically significant and relevant to our time. This is an open invitation to writers who want to submit original work and have the benefit of admiring submissions from future readers. The Magazine is distributed by Creators Guild, an organization that works for children's book publishers.The staff is very knowledgeable about children's books and look forward to reading children's book manuscripts. In addition, the Magazine is free and has strong support from subscribers. Subscribers usually help to decide what the next issues will be. Subscriptions are always needed to keep a publication going. There are many children's book selections to enjoy at this convenient magazine. The issues range from current bestsellers to classic children's books, both literary and non-litary. Some of the issues include short stories, poems, and essays that will appeal to both adults and children.
