The Bachelor s degree of four years, is the first degree sought by many people interested in science & math topics. Masters degrees often offered are more focused on applied applications rather than theory-based courses. Doctoral degrees, also typically held by graduates with a master's degree, are aimed at individuals who may want to conduct extensive research or conduct a very advanced study of a particular topic. In some cases, a doctorate degree may be used to teach special classes such as algebra or psychology to interested students.

The Bachelor's degree typically includes subjects such as mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology. While these are all important parts of the curriculum, the emphasis in this science and math courses is typically on specific courses that directly pertain to the student's major. An example of a course that would be considered for a Bachelor's degree in physics would be a course in applied physics. For a Bachelor's in biology, the courses might include an overview of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. A student may also elect to take specialized courses in science & math to further their particular interest in specific areas within these fields.

The Bachelor's degree normally includes courses in chemistry, physics, and biology. Science & Math Homeschooling Curriculum Designed For Practical Life covered for each of these categories vary slightly from the others. For instance, courses in chemistry usually include chemistry theory, such as what happens during chemical reactions, on a molecular level. physics also includes courses such as mechanics, including concepts like why things move, and what energy is; and calculus, which calculates the value of an object using known quantities. While many courses in science & math do require certain math skills, the focus tends to be more on concepts rather than specific formulas.
