As per Food Safety and Standard Act, 2006, any food business operator in India to regulate the manufacturing, processing, storing and distributing of food needs to get FSSAI licence to ensure availability of safe food for human daily consumption. To maintain the quality of food level is mandatory to ensure the safety and satisfaction to each and every customer of food business operators. Type of FSSAI Registration FSSAI registration is segregated in three different categories. One is Basic registration and other two are State registration and Central registration. The FSSAI registration fees are different as mentioned below:
FSSAI Registration Renewal The Food Business Operator (FBO) requires filing a renewal application within 30 days before the expiry of the license. The renewal application filed after the expiry of 30 days will attract a penalty of Rs. 100/- per day till the submission of the renewal application. The renewal option will be available to FBO 120 days prior to the expiry of the valid license.
