What are Software applications and Software products?

Software Application :

A software i.e design according to client requirement is known as an application. Application software is designed to be less stressful on a CPU compared to traditional software, which demands more resources and usually features a simple user interface (UI).

It also moves away from the traditional on-system installation method of using software; it allows web-based applications to come to the fore, which put even less strain on a system’s resources, letting modern high-speed internet and cloud computing bear the load. PSD Mockup

Types of Application

Desk Top: It is a standalone application i.e installed and used in the business with less user and no remote access.

Web application: It is an internal base application use for business with large user-based ad remote access.

Distributed Applications: A distributed technology allows applications running on two different machines to share information between them.

Gaming: It is a 2D and 3D graphics application supported on a game console like x-Box.

Mobile: It is a mobile-native application that run’s on Android, IOS & window.

AI: It is an artificial intelligence application that enables automation and Robotics.

IoT: It refers to the internet of things, which is an embedded technology that allows remote access.

Software Product :

A software design according to the market requirement is known as a software product. The case with the software product is also somewhat similar. After all the processing, like the requirement analysis, designing, coding, teasing, and maintenance work, the final software that is eligible to be presented or released for its users is the software product. Types of Product

Generic software product: These types of software products are developed for a range or a group of people, or it can be made for the whole population also. These types of products are developed such that the needs of all its users can be fulfilled. These software products are not specific for a person and handle all its users in common as a whole.

Bespoke software products: These types of software products are developed such that they emphasize the needs of a single customer (or a single firm or organization). These products are made available only to those for whom they are especially developed.
