Latest Elder Scrolls Online Update & AMA Left Me Feeling Disappointed

While many of today’s top developers saved their biggest announcements for this years E3 Zenimax Online Studios had other things in mind for the critically acclaimed fantasy MMORPG, The Elder Scrolls Online Gold. During this years expo the developers decided to offer Elder Scrolls fan an entirely different experience to the one currently available in the game. Unless you’ve spent the better part of the last year under a very large rock, you’ve undoubtedly seen gameplay footage involving the epic large-scale combat in the world of Tamriel.

Although the iconic faction-based PvP brings many unique elements to the RPG experience, it’s not the only kind of PvP that can conjure the competitive beast from within. Many of today’s most popular MMORPG games, such as Blizzard’s record-breaking World of Warcraft, cater to an entirely different type of PvP player with additional options in Arena and other small-scale combat scenarios.

One cannot debate the huge appeal when approached with the opportunity to stand shoulder to shoulder with your fellow warrior as you fight to the death against endless waves of invaders, but on the odd occasion a more tactical, personal experience can be just as fruitful.

During this years E3 Zenimax Online Studios chose to adopt a different approach to public relations, offering players the unique opportunity to engage in small-scale, 3v3 combat – a mode specifically created for this years convention.

The map itself looked quite familiar, borrowing a number of assets from other areas throughout Cyrodiil, the PvP area in the main Elder Scrolls Online game. According to the developers at the event the new mode only took 2 weeks to create, leading many to believe we could be seeing it introduced into the main game in the near future.

Instead of competing for kills or points, players had one simple goal. Fight for control over a single flag in an almost King of the Hill style mechanic. The ability to drop in and enjoy a quick dose of PvP seemed to fit perfectly with the ESO fans in attendance, prompting the developers to confirm that the same mode will be available at this years Gamescom and QuakeCon.

None of the staff in attendance neither denied or confirmed the possibility of the 3v3 mode become a permanent fixture within Tamriel but if it proves as popular as it did at E3, I can’t see any reason why we wouldn’t see it announced before the end of the year. See more:  esogoldfast.net
