Kasturba Medical College (KMC)
This premier medical college is located in the beautiful city of Mangalore. Established by Late Dr. Tonse Madhava Anantha Pai, this medical college is one of the most renowned institutes of medicine in Karnataka. It was recognized by the Medical Council of India in the year 1958. It is also recognized by the General Medical Council of Great Britain and the Malaysian Medical Council.
St. John’s Medical College
Nearly 50 years old, the St. John’s Medical College is one of the top medical colleges in Karnataka. Located in Bangalore, this medical institution was set up by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) in 1963. It is a unit of St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, which has various other medical institutes in different parts of the country. It offers a super speciality course called the Mc.H Gynaecologic Oncology, which is not found in most other medical colleges.
Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College
The Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College is established by the Karnatak Lingayat Education Society and is recognized by the Medical Council of India and Malaysian Medical Council. This college is listed in the directory of medical schools by the World Health Organization (WHO). It is located in a 100 acre campus in Belgaum.
JJM Medical College
Established by Bapuji Educational Association, the JJM Medical College is one of the famous medical institutes in Karnataka. It was set up in Davangere in order to provide quality education to the people in and around that locality. This college started in the year 1965, and offers a range of under graduation and post graduation medical courses. It is recognized by the Medical Council of India.
M.S Ramiah Institute of Health Sciences
With the aim of providing international quality education at affordable cost, the philanthropist M.S Ramiah founded this medical college in the year 1979 just outside the Garden City of Bangalore. One of the top medical colleges in Karnataka, M.S Ramiah Institute of Health Sciences offers a number of UG and PG medical courses for candidates. Some of the courses offered in this college include, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Oncology, Paediatrics and Radio Diagnostics.
