M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology is a premier engineering college in Bangalore that was established in 1962. Affiliated to the Vishvesvarya Technological University, this autonomous college has academic tie-ups with multinational organisations such as IBM, Intel, Cognizant, Nokia, EMC and Schneider Electric. A part of the Gokula Education Foundation (GEF), this college was established by the renowned philanthropist M.S. Ramaiah.

4 Year Undergraduate Program in Engineering

Courses offered: Civil, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering and Management, Instrumentation Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering

Eligibility:

•45% of marks aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics in 12th/2nd PUC with English as one of languages (For open quota)

•40% aggregate marks in the above mentioned subjects (SC/ST category)

Admission Tests:

Candidates interested in studying Engineering in this college should pass the following tests:
Karnataka Examination Authority Exam (KEA) – This exam is generally held during February/March
COMEDX: This entrance examination is open for both Karnataka and non-Karnataka students. It is also held during February/March.

M.Tech Programs

M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology offers M.Tech programs in the following courses: Structural Engineering, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Digital Communication, Digital Electronics and Communication, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Software Engineering, Biotechnology.

Eligibility:

•An aggregate of 50% in the relevant under graduation program (open quota)

•Aggregate of 45% in the relevant UG course (SC/ST category)

5 Year Bachelor Degree Program in Architecture

B.Arch Admission in M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology is a 5 year program. The college also offers a specialised course in landscape architecture.

Eligibility:

•50% of marks aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics in 12th/2nd PUC with English as one of languages (For open quota)

•Should have cleared the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) (All quotas)

Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

The college offers a 3 year course in Masters of Business Administration.

•45% aggregate marks in a relevant under graduation course from a recognized college (SC/ST candidates)

•Should have cleared the C-MAT examination.
