As the population is increasing day by day so is their needs. And to fulfill this need we completely depend on Mother Nature. But at some point we have to stop and think about our nature and take its care. We use plastic as in everything to carry something we use polythene, toys are made of plastic. This plastic is very harmful for our nature, animals and for human beings also. So, we came back to nature for help and started to use paper for both industrial and domestic use. But, it’s a two way sword because paper is a biodegradable product but, in order to get this paper we have to cut down woods which is resulting in deforestation.

So, what should we do to save the world form this crisis? The answer is very simple yet very useful. We can recycle and reuse the waste paper that we usually throw away in the form of handmade paper. Yes handmade paper, I know it might sound old fashioned to you but now a days it is transformed into a fashionable eco-friendly utterance. As the time is passing people are becoming more and more aware about the hazards upon our environment caused due to deforestation and the people and government both are taking steps to control this problem by reusing and recycling the waste paper. People are encouraged toward handmade papers as an art and hobby. Cards & Envelopes, Gift wrap, 2-D and 3-D Art, Jewelry, Paper Piecing, Scrapbooks, Molding Fine, and Interior Decor etc. are all uses of handmade paper

Instead of spending money on buying expensive decorative paper why not make them by recycling? Yes recycling the waste paper. In this way we don’t have to waste extra money and can make our own decorative paper. Decorative papers gives a natural enhancement to the gifts giving them a decent look and feel. Decorative papers are made of natural fibers therefore they have amazing textures and patterns which make these papers very beautiful. On the basis of raw materials it can be classified into Embroidered, Tie-Die, Embossed and Crocodile paper. Decorative papers are used for wrapping of gifts, making pen holders, etc. which gives them rich texture and color.

Art paper is paper which is coated by a compound to impart qualities to the paper like surface gloss, smoothness, etc. Calcium carbonate, Kaolinite, are used to produce an art paper for high quality printing in packing industry and in magazines. Art papers are one of the highest quality papers that are being used for printing books, brochures and calendars. Art papers are very different from normal papers in terms of weight, quality, strength, absorbing capacity, etc. These papers are water resistive and provide protection against ultra violet rays.
