Water Distillers for the Home and Office

We all know just how harmful our drinking water can be and why it’s so important to take steps to counteract it like using water distillers. For those who aren’t completely up to speed however, here’s a quick run down of the main harmful chemicals and toxins we consume everyday just by drinking tap water.

Fluoride – A choice made by the government quite some time ago was to voluntarily pollute our drinking water with fluoride. Put in there to help fight tooth decay because it was great at preventing cavities, yet it wasn’t until many years’ later people began to discover it also had a lot of negative points such as thyroid problems. Once prescribed to people with over active thyroids, fluoride can have harmful effects without us even realising it. It’s also responsible for dental/bone fluorosis in which symptoms of bone fluorosis can mimic arthritis.

Chlorine – found in not just our drinking water but swimming pools too because of its great quality’s when it comes to disinfecting and effectively killing microorganisms. The main problem with chlorine is that it doesn’t know when to stop killing microorganisms, which can have a toxic effect on the body. Couple this with its links to bladder cancer and it’s quite worrying.

Heavy metals – Because of corrosion with our pipe systems, lead and other metals seem to make their way into our tap water which is frightening when you think of lead’s links to developmental delay and learning difficulty in children. Not to mention aluminium and other metals links to nerve, brain and kidney damage.

So what do water distillers do exactly? Well they perform a process that’s as old as Mother Nature’s hydrologic cycle. Just like the sun heating the water in the earth’s seas, turning it into vapour that then rises to form clouds and rain distilled water (before it becomes contaminated with our polluted atmosphere) a water distiller does exactly the same thing. It’s during this process of turning the water into vapour that it leaves behind all of the nasty contaminants and toxins such as fluoride, chlorine and heavy metals that cause so many problems.

So with all this in mind it’s quite easy to see why so many opt for water distillers at home. With most families looking to buy water distillers should we start thinking a little further afield and using them in the office too? Are we ruining the effect of our at home water distiller by drinking contaminated water at work? Wouldn’t it be much more effective if we had distilled water available to us in the office too? For water distillers that would suit the home or office environment take a look at Make Water Pure who stocks a collection of quality countertop water distillers for sale.
