But in order to retain a beautiful smile, one has to keep the teeth perfect too.

But again, we humans tend to acquire habits. And not all the habits are good ones. Some tend to become harmful for our physic, especially the teeth. 

So, here is a list of five innocent habits that might be damaging your teeth for worse. 

1- Lots of sugar intake:

Sweets are delicious treats, but it is certainly wrong to not consider them as treats. This is because frequently munching sweet food and sugary candy can directly hurt your teeth first and then your overall health. Sugar will lead to the bacterial formation in the mouth resulting in plaque and tooth decay.

So, if possible, limit your sweet consumption. And even if you do, make sure that you drink a lot of water after it. 

2- Chewing or smoking tobacco:

It is quite understandable that tobacco is the worse enemy of human beings. It affects every part of the human body, starting with the teeth. The dangerous chemicals released from tobacco while smoking or chewing can result in teeth staining, tooth decay, bad breath, tooth loss and whatnot.

3- Biting the nails:

Nail-biting is a thoughtless habit that most adults and children have. Well, no matter what age bar you are, biting the nails can damage the enamel and transfer various bacteria lurking underneath the nail into the mouth. You can even end up with misaligned teeth due to nail-biting.

4- Brushing too hard:

5- Using teeth as an opener:

Use relevant tools to open the bottle or to remove the tag from the clothes. This is because exerting too much pressure on the teeth can lead to chipping and cracking of them.
