Meet with high class artificial turf manufacturers

Artificial turf has been around for decades. Today, though, it's quickly becoming an increasingly popular choice for sporting venues, especially those that have outdoor sports like football and baseball. Artificial turf was initially developed for military purposes in war games. However, the technology behind this surface has now evolved to the point that it's also being used in homes.

Researchers have found that artificial turf can significantly reduce the number of injuries sustained by football players on artificial grass fields. According to research from the Scand J Med Sci Sports Practice Research Centre at University of Manchester, UK, professional football players on an average sustain about 32 injuries during a game, which is more than double the number of injuries sustained by players on standard grass fields. Furthermore, researchers estimate that long-term injury and illness costs would increase dramatically if the number of injuries sustained on artificial turf were to continue to rise.

During games, players often fall and sustain bruises. Many of these injuries, including broken bones and sprained muscles, can take months to heal. On artificial turf, however, even the slightest contact with the ground can result in injury. The ability of artificial grass to absorb the shock of impact and then redirect it away from the player's body has helped reduce the number of bone breaks suffered by football players.

A major advantage of using artificial turf is the reduction in maintenance required. Unlike natural grass, which is susceptible to many different types of pests and disease, artificial turf can be cleaned just once a year with a garden hose and mild soap. Furthermore, the rubber crumb infill artificial turf doesn't need to be replaced as often. This infill material actually increases in size over time, which allows the manufacturer to create larger-sized balls for playing football.

Injuries are another reason why playing on artificial turf surfaces is preferred by families and athletes alike. Artificial turf surfaces have been known to reduce the incidence of strains and muscle spasms. This is because while playing on natural grass, there is the chance that the individual foot could come in contact with the ground, causing micro-tears to the sole of the footwear. With an artificial surface, however, the sole does not touch the ground, so there is less chance for this type of damage. Additionally, some types of turf surfaces have been known to reduce the amount of bruising and injury sustained during contact sports.

Synthetic turf surfaces are also much safer than natural grass when it comes to sustaining an injury. Artificial turf can withstand a lot more wear and tear, which means that it will stand up much better to wear and tear. Also, artificial turf surfaces do not contain harmful chemicals that can potentially harm anyone when they become accidentally ingested or inhaled. Chemical compounds that are typically found in natural grass can also cause serious injury when they come into contact with a person's skin, causing burns and other types of skin irritations.
