A  wonderful travel destination is The Bahamas. The Bahamas is located in the Atlantic Ocean lying between the continents of South and North America and is containing 29 tiny islands, 661 cays and 2387 islets. Nassau being the capital city of The Bahamas, situated on the island of New Providence, Bimini, the island closest to USA, is known as the gateway to The Bahamas, while Andros Island is the largest one. The other inhabited islands are Abaco, Grand Bahama, Inagua, Eleuthera, Cat Island, Long Island, San Salvador Island, Acklins, Crooked Island, Exuma and Mayaguana.

The most entertaining activity you can carry out in The Bahamas is getting friendly with the dolphins of the beautiful Blue Lagoon Island, which is just 20 minutes from Nassau. The island is a natural habitat of the dolphins. Various activities, called Dolphin Encounters are carried out here to let you make well acquainted and intimate with dolphins in the crystal clear blue water. You don't have to be an expert swimmer to do this. These unique activities allow you the rarest opportunity to swim alongside the dolphins or hugging and kissing them standing on a platform built in the waters. There are certain programs for those who don't dare to undergo this activity, in which you just stand at a distance to view and take photos of the dolphins.

Bimini is only 48 miles away from the east of Miami. Alice Town, the commercial town of Bimini has just a single quiet road known as the King's Highway. Bimini Road or Atlantean Road is a 300 meter long reverse 'J' shaped row of large flat boulders lying under 15-25 feet of the crystal clear water which can be viewed while snorkeling, so also a variety of tropical fishes staying around it give a picturesque view. This road is interestingly mysterious because it has been claimed to be the undersea road to the legendary city of Atlantis. You too can enjoy making your own conclusions about the truth.

Bimini is famous for its spotted dolphins. The dolphins are funny, intelligent, friendly with humans and extremely playful. The wild spotted dolphin of Little Bahama Bank love to swim alongside with humans, but the duration of their friendship depends on their trust and curiosity. If you are actively do snorkeling or free diving, you can very well grab their attention.

A visit to the Ardastra Gardens, Zoo and Conservation Center is another most stunning experience in The Bahamas trip. From the endangered Bahamian animals, beautiful birds and reptiles to mammals, you will have the chance to view closely the enormous variety of animal species.

An open jeep Safari of the Grand Bahama Island is also an exciting venture to carry out, in which you can view and enjoy the beaches, historical places, museums and the beautiful Nature.
