The Global Talent Independent Program (GTI), a new visa option, is possibly the fastest way to get an Australia PR. However, how long does it take to get an Australian PR? The exact processing time of an Australian PR application through the GTI isn’t mentioned on the Australia migration department’s website. Nevertheless, the latest insights indicate a decision time of around 14 days after lodging the Express of Interest.

But you must remember that the decision time varies from case to case, and for many, it has been in the range of 14 days to three months. Nonetheless, GTI has emerged as the quickest way to get an Australia PR.

Known as GTI, the Global Talent Independent Program is a Global Talent Visa program that paves the way to permanent residence in Australia for highly skilled professionals. The program was launched in November 2019 and aims at getting highly skilled professionals across seven sectors, including Med-Tech, Ag-Tech, FinTech, space, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and energy and mining technology.

Furthermore, GTI demands the applicants to show the potential of earning an annual salary at or above the income threshold of AUD 153,600 and have nomination support of a national reputation in the same profession. If you meet the program criteria, you must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the Global Talent form and secure a nominator as well.

If your EOI meets success, you receive a unique identifier and will be able to apply online under the Distinguished Talent visa (Subclass 124) if you are outside Australia and the Distinguished Talent Visa (Subclass 858) if you are in Australia while applying.
