Ultralight Flight, one of the adventurous activities in Nepal, adventure buddies also know it as Paragliding in Nepal, introduced in 1996, is gaining a lot of popularity in recent years. The best place for ultralight in Nepal is Pokhara because of the proximity of the exotic mountains and vibrant lakes. The ultralight flight takes off from Pokhara Airport. It is offered from the beginning of September to June. The flights occur early in the morning with sunrise until 11 am and from 3 pm to sunset every day during these months, and other times, there are no ultralight flights due to inappropriate weather conditions.

The flights of ultralight are categorized into three types as fly for fun, touch the fishtail, and mountain range sky trek. The first one is the shortest one, which lasts for 15 minutes over the city of Pokhara, above Phewa and Sarangkot at the speed of 50 to 90 km/h. The second type takes you close to the fishtail — Machhapuchhre mountain range and lasts for 30 minutes with an average speed of 90 km/h. The third one is the most exciting one, which lasts for an hour. You will be able to cover the entire Annapurna range at an average speed of 130 km/h, and you will be flying above the clouds.

The star attraction of ultralight flight is Phewa Lake’s views, dense forest, World Peace Pagoda, Annapurna Massif, Fishtail, and the entire city. You will be cozy and comfortable sitting alone, which will undoubtedly be one of your best experiences.
