Medic East Africa books larger exhibition space in 2014 due to increasing demand

Nairobi, Kenya: Medic East Africa was help for the first time in 2013 and accommodated more than 180 international and local exhibiting companies from more than 32 countries, as well as 5 country pavilions showcasing the very latest medical breakthroughs and technological developments in healthcare. Medic East Africa also witnessed the formation of new ground breaking partnerships and collaborations within the East Africa healthcare and medical laboratory sector.

Now, in 2014, Medic East Africa will take place from 23-25 September 2014 and will move to the its new location at the Visa Oshwal Center, Nairobi, Kenya where it will cover 6,103 sqm of exhibition space, 3,500 attendees, 250 local and international exhibitors, with 45 countries represented. The exhibition will also host world renowned companies in the healthcare industry namely, Karl Storz, Welch Allyn, Stiegelmeyer, Hill-Rom, Atlas Surgical, and Bioscientia Institute of Medical Diagnostics, and many more.

MEDLAB East Africa is an integral part of the Medic East Africa Exhibition & Congress; 35% of exhibition space was taken up by MEDLAB East Africa, the largest medical laboratory and technology event in East Africa.

The event will feature a range of multi-track accredited conferences which will be available for all healthcare professionals to attend. Each conference will provide CPD accreditation making this a vital platform for participants to gain and exchange knowledge, network, learn and share experiences and focus on issues that are relevant to them. It is designed as an educational platform for anyone involved across the full spectrum of healthcare including healthcare management, imaging and diagnostics, infectious diseases and many more.

To complement the five accredited conferences taking place at the Medic East Africa Congress 2014 and MEDLAB East Africa Congress 2014, there will be a number of hands-on training workshops at MEA’s training village for 2014.

Medic East Africa and MEDLAB East Africa Exhibition & Congress provided the perfect platform for the global healthcare and medical laboratory industry to showcase a wide range of products and innovations to the ever-growing East African healthcare market. Medic East Africa 2013 hosted 180 exhibitors from more than 32 countries including 40 exhibitors from Kenya.

Due to the record level of demand for exhibition space and with more than 80% of exhibitors from 2013’s event booking for 2014, a new venue has been booked for the exhibition which will allow a total of 400 exhibitors.
