Skyhigh Teams with Palo Alto Networks to Extend Next-Gen Firewall to the Cloud ?

As part of our mission to help organizations securely enable cloud services, we’ve expanded our range of partnerships beyond cloud service providers to include security solution providers. These strategic partnerships enable joint customers to leverage their investments in security infrastructure as they seek to securely enable cloud services.

For this reason we are thrilled to team up with Palo Alto Networks (PAN) to provide enhanced visibility and control for cloud security services. This first-of-its-kind integration adds greater context and risk-based policies to the PAN next-generation firewall.

The net result is faster enablement of cloud for the business while leveraging the existing infrastructure investment, along with the ability to secure the perimeter based on granular service attributes.]

Leveraging Existing Security Infrastructure
The joint solution is a great value for PAN customers and exemplifies Skyhigh’s strategy of leveraging organizations’ existing security investments. PAN senior vice president of business and corporate development Chad Kinzelberg commented that with the integration “…joint customers benefit from advanced cloud application identification and control capabilities and realize additional value from their Palo Alto Network next-generation firewall technology.”

Skyhigh Discover and AnalyzeTM integrates with the Palo Alto Networks enterprise security platform to provide visibility into all SaaS traffic, including encrypted traffic, regardless of port or protocol to improve identification of risky applications.

Next, enterprises can use the PAN next-generation firewall to implement access control policies based on objective risk ratings from Skyhigh’s cloud service provider (CSP) directory, encompassing over 7,000 CSPs. Integration with Palo Alto Networks Panoroma ensures that new policy updates for SaaS applications are immediately enforced by the Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall.

Beyond Access Control Policies
In addition to contextual access control policies, the joint solution also provides anomaly detection capabilities that identify behavior indicative of a security breach or insider threat within SaaS-based cloud environments.

The integrated solution also extends data loss prevention capabilities to cloud applications and enables a broad range of remediation actions, all enforced by your existing Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall.
