We all enjoy going to the pub at least once in a while, either with our friends or our spouse. However, if we’re interested in taking a trip to North Yorkshire to see the sights, then we should certainly go down Dales Way and visit Appletreewick. It is here that we’ll be able to enjoy looking at beautiful landscapes while we drink a real ale and eat the delicious food in a pub Skipton located.

For those that are looking to spend a few days walking down Dales Way, a route that, while not as famous as the Pennine Way or the Coast to Coast Walk, provides its visitors with many wonderful sights to see, making some time to visit Appletreewick is a must. The village is located in one of the National Parks that we will visit during our walk, and it’s simply a slice of heaven. While the beautiful landscapes will charm those of a gentle heart, the place will provide us with other treasures as well. It is here that we will find the birth place of William Craven, the 16th century Lord Mayor of London. We will have the chance to drink a real ale in a pub Skipton area that was actually part of the lord’s estate. In fact, we’ll want to spend as much time in the pub as we need in order to discover some of the 16th century signs it retained, as it dates from even before that period. If we grow tired and hungry, then we’ll have the chance to eat some of the tasty pub food Skipton has to offer.

There are plenty of things to see in Appletreewick, and if we have the time to spend at least a few days here we will certainly not regret it. We can visit the High Hall, the Burnsall Bridge, St. Willfrids Church and the Brunsall Schoool, as well as take a walk on the road from Appletreewick to Burnsall, all of which were actually built or modified at the request of Sir William Craven himself. We can also enjoy the beauty of the other buildings from the village, as we stroll towards the pub Skipton in order drink a beer and cool off. As we drink our beer we’ll have the chance to hear more about the story of William Craven regarding Dick Whittington. We will also see the coat of arms which hangs over the front door. If the night should catch us still listening for stories, we can enjoy some of the wonderful pub food Skipton.

What is truly interesting about the pub Skipton located is that it retains a wonderful and noble charm. Even though electricity was available ever since the 1950’s, the pub is still only illuminated using gas lamps. If we should choose to spend a second night enjoying ourselves here, it will be due to the wonderful music that’s being played by talented singers, as well as the natural beauty of the landscape, which reminds of a more serene and glorious time. Before we leave we should not forget to taste some more delicious pub food Skipton.
