When I first began training in martial arts, I assumed that there was no way that I could ever beat my fellow students at my gym. But after learning so many things about boxing through study, practice, and viewing some of the trash talk posted on the web, I am really thinking twice about it. Are purebred boxers, with all their great level of training, footwork, defense and punches really able to outpace kick boxers? Can they really brush a kick boxer and get a knockout? These are questions that have haunted me for years, and they are still being asked by my students today.มวย สยาม กีฬา

The reason I ask these questions is that I see a lot of young fighters, especially girls, starting to take striking martial art classes. Kickboxing, as some people call it, is a popular form of boxing. It has the benefit of allowing all participants to learn and use proper striking techniques without worrying about getting seriously hurt or possibly dropping a punch, which is one of muay Thai fighters biggest problems. So, what I see many trainers doing is trying to turn their fighters into muay Thai kick boxers by teaching them muay Thai techniques and boxing.

This does not work. First of all, as mentioned above, muay Thai is a full contact combat sport, but you are also allowed to lock up and strike your opponent while they are on the ground. If you lock up in muay Thai, your elbows and shins are protected by your own body's defenses. Kicks come in at a lower speed and higher power than an axe handle. This is because the elbows and shins are harder to block when they are close to the body. This makes hitting them harder but punching them causes more damage.

Second, I see many young muay Thai fighters, particularly girls, starting to do high knee strikes to their opponents while they are on the ground. This is something that could very easily be avoided. Kicks come in and out of the distance extremely fast, so if your opponent is moving in for a double leg, you can move in and counter without being touched. By using proper muay Thai techniques, you can avoid taking heavy knee and elbow hits.

Third, you have to be very careful when you are doing muay Thai and boxing. You should always be aware of your surroundings and what your opponents are doing. By watching them closely, you can anticipate when you will be able to strike and when you will need to rely on your high strikes and jabs. Many muay Thai fighters spend a lot of time in training with their hands and legs only and completely neglecting their strikes.

Fourth, there is always the risk of injury when you are doing any type of striking in muay Thai or boxing. Because the hands are smaller than the feet, it is easier to get injured if you are not careful. Also, if you are not careful, your opponent might be able to run in and deliver a big uppercut to the face. A well-trained boxer who is experienced in handling his opponent's power will be able to avoid this problem entirely. These are just some of the many reasons why Muay Thai is a good sport to join but keep in mind that if you want to learn how to box, you must also learn how to be good at controlling your opponent's power and use those strikes effectively.
