Fut Coins has stayed up until 5am to have their hopes and dreams crushed by a bunch of feckless millionaires knows; football is a game of emotions; and the flagship feature in FIFA 15 is the introduction of what EA claims are more than 600 emotional reactions to in-game events.

While that sounds like an exaggeration (I'd struggle to name 100 emotions, let alone digitally recreate 600 of them on the virtual face of Wayne Rooney) the new expressive and animated players are the most noticeable improvement to this year's edition.

Fire in a thunderbolt from thirty yards and your striker's face will in twist in contortions of wide-eyed joy, miss an easy chance and you'll be greeted with bemusement, shame or anger at a misplaced pass. It's a simple, but well-executed addition that adds even more realism to a game that is almost indistinguishable from a televised match.

FIFA 15.

Last year's FIFA was the first to appear on next-gen consoles but launch titles never quite get the most out of brand new hardware. This is the first FIFA to benefit from a full development cycle on the new platforms, and it shows.

Player models are more accurate and lifelike, stadiums are painstakingly recreated down to the dugouts and each blade of grass reacts to a sliding tackle or bouncing ball.

FIFA 15 PS3 Coins has also been overhauled, with pundits frequently mentioning recent events in world football when relevant, and remarking on behaviour that would be seen as out of character for a particular player or team.
