5 Steps to improve your well-being

How do you cope with your mental health? In 2020/2021, we are facing a very hard time. We cannot socialise, meet family or even see a doctor. Many people are suffering with mental health. It is very important to take care of your mental health more than ever. I will share 5 steps you may want to try to improve your mental well-being.
Food is connected with not only your body, but also with your mind. If you think that eating whatever you want makes you feel better, that’s wrong. In a short period, yes it makes you feel satisfied. What you put into your body is very important. Eating irregularly at random times and eating junk food may cause irritation, anxiety, tiredness, low-self esteem and lack of concentration. How can you make it change? Make a daily routine. Eat three times per day, breakfast, lunch and dinner and each one eats at the same time everyday. And eat plenty of fruits and vegetables instead of junk food. You can change slowly with your pace.
Being active does help your mental wellness. It improves your mood, even only 10 min outside walking. It makes a big difference. If you can walk in nature, that is even better. Connecting with nature is the best healing. You might feel low motivation sometimes especially when it's cold, but push yourself a little bit. Make sure to do some exercises if not everyday, at least a few times for a week.
Do something you enjoy
It might be hard right now if you like doing sports. But it could be an opportunity to try some things that you have never tried before. Whether reading books, painting, DIY or yoga etc. You might find new hobbies. Enjoying yourself may give you positive energy.
Surround by green and make healthier home
As I said above, connecting with nature is the best healing. You might want to put some plants at your home. Also it's good to get greener interiors if you can. Surround by greener products and your favorites will help you to be calmer and relaxed.
Express yourself in whatever ways you feel comfortable. I could be painting, drawing, singing, writing, dancing or simply talk with someone you love. Don’t keep it yourself. Let it out. I personally write a journal whenever I feel like and that helps me a lot. I recommend it to do!
To take care of your well-being is as important as your physical health. Everyone has ups and downs. Do not hesitate to ask help if you feel really down.
