How lives of Healthcare workers will be different after the end of the Covid-19

The Covid 19 Epidemic has been on for almost the best part of a year and lives of most people including workers at healthcare facilities have been at the frontline fighting the epidemic. The launch of the vaccines has meant that we are hopefully looking at the end of the crisis. People are hoping with the end of the epidemic in sight, they will return to their old working schedules, but healthcare staff and healthcare HR recruiters know that this is not going to happen, as a lot has happened in the past year and a lot is known about the functioning of the industry and about jobs in the medical field. We cannot as a nation and as an industry return to the past, we will need to move into the future, but the question remains, how we will be doing this.

The epidemic has affected every Indian citizen in one way or the other, some have lost their loved ones, or have had them admitted into hospitals for treatment, and people have lost jobs or seen their salaries slashed, businessmen have lost money due to the lockdown enforced shutdowns. These issues have brought fissures into both personal and professional relationships, though there are plenty of cases seen where people have gone out of their way to help others relive their suffering, there is no hiding that the pain and misery caused by the epidemic is not going to disappear fast. People will have to grieve for their losses suffered during the epidemic and people with jobs in the healthcare industry need to also come out of their shells. Speak to their families, colleagues and even the management if they feel the issues they are facing need greater attention.

For healthcare workers, in particular, the epidemic has meant that they had job and financial security, but it has meant that for these 10 months or so they have had no time to relax or spend with their loved ones. Once the epidemic is truly over, go on a vacation with family to just unwind and relax.

Before the outbreak of the epidemic, most healthcare employees were swaying around in a shape of made-up safety. Workers had stable jobs in the healthcare industry and believed that their employers were ready for any kind of epidemic that could arise. But today the workers have seen that their employers and workplaces were not fully ready to face the epidemic, and have got to know the strengths and weaknesses of their place of work. For a worker to ensure that his place of work is prepared to face any future epidemic, he/she should form and join committees to find solutions to these issues. Managements will also be thinking on these lines but it is important for the staff to get involved in the process, as changing things will take time.

For some workers, the best escape to any big problem is change of job. With a host of best healthcare HR staffing agencies and healthcare organizations looking for new staff, it would not be tough to find a new job as the best recruitment agencies in India are always on the lookout for trained staff. Remember it is easy to quit and search for a new job as frustration and anger may creep up in you with your present employer, but make the next decision after proper thought and not change because there is something new or the best healthcare HR staffing agency is promising you a better salary. In all cases serve out your proper notice period and leave gracefully.

The epidemic has affected everyone, and people with jobs in the medical field have been no exception. Irrespective of whether a person decides to stay in his present job or shift, he should make his choice carefully.
