Are you new to the solar panel world? Or maybe you are considering having them installed at your home? They are a wonderful way to conserve energy and reduce your carbon footprint in this world. These days everyone is trying to find the best ways to reduce the amount of energy that they are using.

Solar panels are a great way to do that. Just because you have solar panels does not mean you don't have an electricity bill at all. It is just going to reduce it. The amount that it reduces is going to depend on the number of solar panels you have. The solar rays that are absorbed, need to have a nice clean panel to get the most benefits.

Cleaning Solar Panels

There isn’t really any true art to cleaning these panels. It is just important to make sure that you are doing it about 2 times a year. Debris, dirt, substances, and water stains can all prohibit the solar rays from absorbing into the panels.

If you live somewhere that has a lot of storms, you may find yourself needing to clear the panels off more often than twice a year. You do not necessarily have to wash them more unless you see the need to, but just clear the debris from them. Leaves, limbs, and other items need to be removed.

How To Clean Solar Panels

A simple solution of soap and water will do just fine for cleaning your solar panels. You don’t want to use a brush, sponge, or cloth that is abrasive. Just a simple soft surface is best. The others will cause scratches.

Using your water hose, you will rinse them till all the soap is gone. Ensuring it is completely rinsed is important, as the leftover soap and leave build-up behind. Then you will want to completely dry them, water stains are not good for them either.

Do I Need To Hire A Professional?

Solar panels are not always positioned in a completely accessible place for you. There are a lot of times installed on your roof. Making cleaning them a bit of a dangerous task for some people. Soap, water, hose, bucket, and rags to keep up with, and not trip over or slip-on.

A professional is going to have the right safety precautions needed to do the job thoroughly and effectively. They will know what it takes to get in these tricky areas and clean the panels. It is also, just nice to know you have the task taken care of. The cost of having your solar panels clean might just be worth it to you to know you are making a safe decision for yourself.

How Much Does Solar Panels Cleaning Cost?

The cost is mostly dependant on where you live and the company that you hire. Some places may be higher than others. The average cost that you can expect to pay is around 0 to 0 dollars. If you only have a couple of panels you are going to pay less than someone that has several of them.
