Cheryl Fernandez-Versini wows in blue floor-length dress on X Factor

It seems that Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is pulling out all the stops in a bid to redeem herself from her Kermit the Frog dress disaster from a week ago. The brunette beauty wowed as she stepped out on The X Factor's stage in an ice-blue Ermanno Scervino semi-sheer dress on Sunday night's elimination show. Brought in at the waist with a delicate silver belt, the gown boasted a mid-section peplum feature, descending into a flowing column skirt.
The former Girls Aloud star received a helping hand from fellow judge Simon Cowell as she steadied herself before heading to her seat. And as she settled into her prime spot at the judges' table, host Dermot O'Leary couldn't help but share how impressed he was with her choice of attire.
'Nice dress, Chezza! Loving that! Steady, though!' Dermot said, cheekily letting her know that everybody saw her brief stumble. Fellow judge Mel B also stunned on the night, showing off her enviable curves in a black form-fitting dress with a plunging neckline. With her hair swept back into a high-fashion 'do, the former Spice Girl flashed a little flesh through the frock's cut-outs on either side of her taut torso.
It's another style success for Mel B! We have to say, we kind of love that she's playing it cool with her outfits. While Cheryl wore a Zuhair Murad fishtail frock yesterday, Mel kept it casual in a ZARA jumpsuit. And tonight, while Cheryl looks like she's about to hit the red-carpet in an an Ermanno Scervino gown, Mel looks ready for a night on the town in a cheeky cut-out number by Jason Wu!
Jason Wu has long been a label embraced by the inner style circles, before he experienced a meteoric rise to fashion fame after Michelle Obama wore one of his creations to the Inaugural ball. Since then, everyone has wanted a slice of the Wu action. It's actually not the first time Mel has turned to the designer when she's been in need of a high-profile outfit, as she wore his bottle green wrap dress to the America's Got Talent finale.
