Signal sensing principle of automatic door

The reason why the automatic door can operate freely is mainly due to the sensor information of the door opening signal, which shows the nature of the door opening signal for the automatic door. There are two main types of door opening signals for automatic doors in the current market:
The first type-microwave radar. This kind of door opening signal is a response to the displacement of the object, so the reaction speed is fast, and it is suitable for places where people with normal walking speed pass. Its characteristic is that once the people near the door do not want to go out and stand still, the radar will no longer respond. , The automatic door will be closed, which has a certain protective effect on the door machine.
The second type-infrared sensor. This kind of door opening signal responds to the existence of objects, no matter whether the person moves or not, as long as it is within the scanning range of the sensor, it will respond and send out a contact signal. However, the disadvantage of this opening method is that the infrared sensor has a slow response speed, which is suitable for places where people with slow movements enter and exit, such as hospitals, banks and other public places.

Regarding to microwave sensor, we have two options for users, unidirectional and bidirectional detection. For unidirectional detection (vision 2.0 & falcon 2.0), it detects approching movements, when people are moving forwards to the door, it’ll open and if the people pass by or go opposite,the door won’t open, which enables to save energy and more safe.
