Easy migration to Canada in the year 2021

Canada has declared its intention to invite more skilled professionals into the country during 2021. The country has already puts its immigration plans in place. In October, the country has declared their 3 year plan for immigration. In 2021, Canada intends to invite 401,000 new Permanent residents into the country. In subsequent couple of years, they intend to invite 411,000 and 421,000 Permanent residents into the country. Canada Skilled immigration is one of the strongest set of immigrants to be invited into the country. Canada, in its efforts has come up with new strategies to invite the right talent into the country.

Canada has already opened its doors for International students intending to attend universities in Canada. However, not all universities have been given permission to invite international students to study there. If one intends to study in Canada, they will have to identify which University is offering them there subject interest and proceed accordingly. Such universities need to be COVID prepared and need to follow regulations as issued by Canada government.

In the year 2020 alone, around 100,000 skilled professionals were issued Invitation to Apply for Canada PR. Most of them were chosen from the Express Entry pool of profiles. Many immigrants who lost their jobs due to pandemic were given relief by the concerned provinces allowing the immigrants to extend their stay in Canada irrespective of their job status. Canada’s skilled migrant visa is one of the strongest visa programs.

Canada, as part of its economic revival program, entered into treaties with other countries supporting employment in each other countries. One of the countries with which it tied up is Italy under New International Experience Youth Mobility Agreement.

In 2021, aspirants can relocate to Canada under one of the following pathways.

1. Canada Student Visa – Every year Canada invites around 350,000 international students to study in various universities in Canada. Study in Canada program allows the aspirant to choose from one of the universities to study. These students will need to prove that they can provide for their studies and living in Canada. They will have to provide enough evidence about their clean background and their health. They will also have to prove that they intend to return back to their country of birth once they have achieved their goal in Canada.  Students have the right to work in Canada after they have obtained study visa. If they intend to work off campus then they will need a temporary work permit.

2. Another Pathway which one can take up is the Canada Immigration Express Entry system. This system which started in the year 2015 has gained tremendous popularity for its systematic approach reducing stress and wait period for both the Canada Immigration authorities and aspirants intending to relocate to the country. The aspirant will need to submit their Expression of Interest. One can submit their profile into Express Entry system for one of the 3 immigration pathways or for a participating province under their provincial nominee program.

3. One of the most sought after immigration pathway to Canada is the Provincial Nominee Program or Canada PNP. This program was started in the mid-1990s and since has invited lakhs of migrants into the participating provinces. This program provides the provinces a control of who can be invited into the province. The province chooses those immigrants who can adapt easily into the province and who can contribute to the economic growth of the province. The choice mainly depends on the current list of Jobs open in the province.

4. One another top immigration pathway to enter Canada is the entrepreneur programs. The Canada Start-up program allows anybody with keen interest in business backed by a strong business plan to start their business in Canada. Through this visa program, the entrepreneur would get their Permanent residency. Such entrepreneurs will need to have a business idea which is both scalable and viable. They will need to get support from designated organizations.

Beyond any of these, what is important is the importance of choosing the right partner to help them migrate to Canada. They need to work with the immigration firm which is registered with ICCRC. Only such firms have legal rights to provide PR services in India or abroad.
