Shimen Gorge Scenic Spot in Xinping County

Shimen Gorge Scenic Spot is located in Gasa Town, Xinping County, Yuxi City. The brooks flow all the year around. With luxuriant forests, it enjoys endless green.

The scenic spot is right on Enshui Road in the Ailao Mountains with an elevation of 2,000 meters. Five gorges here look like gates, in this way, it is called Shimen Gorge which means Stone Gate Gorge literarily.

The gorge is six kilometers in length and has been the most popular in Ailao Mountain Scenic Spot. You may find numerous surprises in the gorge, such as bizarre rocks, falling gully and plants that have recorded the history here.

Travel tips:

The road condition is not that good, so it takes long time on the journey. However, the good scenery on the way can not be missed.
