About Iceland

Iceland is one of the world’s largest island, which was uninhabited by the humans, for a long time. Iceland was first discovered by Naddoddr, one of the first settlers in the Faroe Islands, who was sailing from Norway to the Faroe Islands, but lost his way and drifted to the east coast of Iceland.

What are the Northern Lights?

Aurora Borealis, commonly known as the Northern Lights, is the natural display of lights in the sky, clearly visible during winters. They are called ‘northern lights’ because of the glowing and flickering display of the colors, most commonly seen in the Northern Hemisphere.

Aurora is a word derived from Latin language which means ‘Sunrise’ and ‘Borealis’ is found in the dictionary of the Greeks, which means ‘North Wind’.
