Hypercars are witnessing significant popularity across the globe with major auto

A hypercar is any vehicle that is designed and built to go fast. For this reason, supercars are most often used by high-performance car enthusiasts who race these cars in various circumstances, from sporting events to street cruising. The Hypercar is an incredibly interesting design concept vehicle developed by innovative energy analyst Amory Lovins in the Rocky Mountain Institute for Design. This car would typically have ultra-light construction with low-drag, ultra-light bodywork with ultra-efficient aerodynamic symmetry, and a high-lift hybrid drive. It is possible that this vehicle may replace internal combustion engines altogether and be powered solely by electric motors.

Lovins envisages this Hypercar could be capable of speeds in excess of 300mph; he also states that a Hypercar will be used as a sports car, a touring car, or as a "utility vehicle". It is safe to say that the term hypercar will continue to grow in recognition as more unique high-performance cars are produced by innovative automotive manufacturers. In fact, it is possible to take a look at recent trends and see how many manufacturers use the term hypercar in their marketing and advertising. There are currently nine manufacturers who have confirmed that they are designing and producing new high-performance cars using the Hypercar concept. These companies include BMW, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Renault, Honda, Mercedes Benz, Audi, and Jaguar.
