There are very few residencies that encompasses a trinity of design, durability and functionality. Especially in a city like Mumbai where every inch of space counts, fitting all the three elements can be done only by true artists.

Architects need to make best use of the space, use the best of construction materials and collaborate with designers to tie the building together with stunning design.

While such perfect residences are rare, they haven’t ceased to exist yet. One of the classic examples of a residence that has the best of all worlds is Parthenon, a luxury residence designed by a team of top architects of Mumbai along with industry leader Shobhit Rajan. The building has been granted CNN AWARD for luxury lifestyle residences of the year.

Parthenon, Mumbai is built upon Raiaskaran’s Trinity Credo - a philosophy conceptualised keeping Indian lifestyle in mind - Large families, 24x7 service staff & larger get-togethers.

These three things are kept as the centre of the project, right from the planning stage to finishing. Each element of the building encompasses the core philosophy of contemporary Indian family life.

This Trinity Credo incorporates 3 main lifestyle components:

 1. Privacy for the residents

The structure is designed to ensure maximum privacy for the residents of Parthenon. All the necessary entertainment & guest hospitality area is accessible without them needing to enter the resident's private space like a bedroom.

 2. Discreet service and staff area

Entry for staff, access lobbies and service area is smartly hidden away in the building and so the staff have their own entries to maintain resident privacy and to eliminate any kind of prying. The staff room has a separate door so the main apartment can be separated and made private anytime. There are separate service elevators for domestic and maintenance staff.

 3. Comfort and indulgence for guests.

Right from the moment a guest enters the premises to the moment they leave, they are kept thoroughly entertained and comforted. Parthenon features 40,000 sq. ft. of amenities like the swimming pool, spa, gymnasium, badminton court, ICC size cricket pitch, library, business centre and more.

The layout of the apartment is smartly designed to ensure fluidity in day-to-day activities of the resident.

Every nook and corner of the building is designed keeping core design principles in mind - balance, rhythm, proportion & scale and Unity. Apart from an aesthetic and practical structure, each apartment is also vastu-compliant.

Spatial luxury is kept at the centre of the design process so that each unit gets ample sunlight and great cross-ventilation. The apartments are adorned with a wide balcony inspired from the 60s-style verandah that spans the entire length of the apartment. Residents also have an option to merge two master bedrooms to make one suite with double bath and jacuzzi. What’s more, each bedroom has a 14-feet walking wardrobe.

It’s said that buying a home in Mumbai is one of the most tedious tasks of one’s life. There are thousands of options to choose from and yet most of the buildings do not offer the luxury of space. Shobhit Rajan and his team have done an excellent job at Parthenon in optimising the space and allowing the residents to enjoy a delightful life at home.
