All salaried professionals are required to pay the tax to the state government, it is known as professional tax. Professional Tax Registration is also called as Pt registration. Professional tax is different for different states.

However, the maximum professional tax that the state government can provide comes to two thousand and five hundred rupees per year.

Every person working in a private firm applies for professional tax. Every employee working in India is entitled to pay this tax. Therefore, any business owner working in India will have to take this responsibility on his own and pay taxes to the state government.

The professional tax fee is different for each state. According to recent reports, there are some states that have already started practicing it. These states are Maharashtra, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Gujarat, Meghalaya, Tripura, Kerala and Assam.

Professional Tax Registration Process:

First, you need to submit the pan card details within one working day. Along with it, you need to state the number of employees who have been working under you. In addition, all the proofs of your stakeholders and investors need to be submitted.

Then the registration form needs to be filled by all the employees of your company, and then you need to submit these files to the authority concerned. This needs to be done within two working days.

The last step is known as the seven working days channel. Indicating that if any documents have been missed out, then you can submit in seven working days. Usually, a government auditor will inform you about this.
