My Favourite Movie genres of All Time

When the world around you changes, your favourite movie genre often changes with it. In the late 18th century, England once again is at war with its French neighbour. Yet, pineapple eating and duck racing are still thriving. Then a frail Queen Anne takes the throne, her friend, Lady Sarah is still in power, and she rules the country in her own right, while burdened by her many enemies. When an unknown servant, Abigail arrives, her powerful charm ensnares her queen-to-be, and she returns to her royal roots. Soon after this, a battle breaks out between invading French soldiers and British troops, which lead to heavy losses on the part of the British. The city is completely destroyed, and Abigail becomes pregnant, which leads her to have a miscarriage. This is when her daughter Elisabeth comes into the world. Elisabeth has inherited everything her mother had, including her unborn son. As the war ends, Abigail marries Edward, who has been made a baronet. The couple have two daughters, Rose (Debra Messing), and Helen (Sally Field). Helen develops an interest in photography, so when she falls in love with a photographer called Luke (Philip Seymour Hoffman), she sets off to begin a career in that field. Shortly thereafter, the war erupts again, and the trench warfare becomes even more brutal. The next time we see our heroine in a film, it's the action-filled sequel to WWI, The Big Leagues. Here, she plays the role of Jackie Valentine, a war correspondant. She is also an enthusiastic baseball coach, which develops into a passion when she sees her baseball team playing a match against a rival team. After winning the match, she is captured and taken as a prisoner of war. She is held prisoner for the rest of the war. While serving her time, she meets Dr. Eleanor Rose, a brilliant surgeon. He teaches her many valuable lessons about life, love, courage and patience. Throughout the film, both characters grow and change, becoming best friends. The film also introduces us to other fascinating and charming characters from the film industry, most notably Rose's own mother, Lily Stafford. When discussing my favourite movie genre, I feel the following must be mentioned. The film industry can safely be placed in the category of romantic comedies, primarily because of its all-star cast. In this cast, you will find leading and supporting actors, as well as some great actors who only do comedy films. These include such legendary characters as George Clooney, Ben Stiller, Ewen Chia, Ben Stiller again, and Kevin Spacey. There are many other great actors and actresses of this genre including Drew Barrymore, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston, Elisha Cook, and Meryl Streep. What I feel the film must be placed in is the horror film genre. This is the most popular of all the film genres. This category includes such fantastic films as "Psycho", "The Shining", "The Exorcist"," Dracula", "The Ring". If you want to get into the mood for a scary night, watch "The Shining" or "The Exorcist". hd movies, full movies Both films star Jack Nicholson and provide a very intense and suspenseful scene. They are perfect for those nights when you just want to jump out of bed in the middle of the night and horror the living daylights out of you! Of course, the one film that have everything, and more than anything, ties all the other film genres together and is the perfect example of a film that any young adult should see when growing up, is "A History Of Violence". This film follows the story of the Massacre at Wounded Knee from the Native point of view. It tells the terrible history between the American Indians and the settlers, and shows how even after all these years they still fight with each other for control of the American Indians lands. The movie is very disturbing and thought provoking, and it makes you feel very proud to be an American. Like all the other favourite movie genres, this one has everything to entertain and thrill you to your core!
