A chemistry lab is all about carry out certain experiments to find out about the properties of different chemicals. But for carrying out these experiments, certain equipments are required. The different Chemistry Lab Equipments Manufacturers provide these equipments to the chemistry labs of all schools and colleges.

Chemistry lab equipments and their uses

Erlenmeyer flask: These flasks are designed for easy stirring and can be swirled by hand without spilling. Though these equipments are not used for measuring as they are only 5% accurate, but often they are used for titrations.

Test tube: Test tubes are mainly used for holding and mixing small samples as it is stirred by tapping with two fingers at the bottom. Test tubes are mostly used in quantitative analysis.

Volumetric flask: These flasks measure one specific volume in accordance to the etched line marked on the neck. Mixture of solutions is very easy in these flasks as glass stoppers are present in them which are designed in such a way that they can be inverted multiple times to mix.

Graduated cylinder: These cylinders are used for measuring different volumes and it has spouts which lines up nicely with other glassware’ rim to ensure easy pouring.

Pipette: The pipettes are used after conjunction with pipette bulb to measure certain volumes. Pipettes can be classified into the following types:

Graduate pipette: Along the sides of these pipettes, there are markings which determine the measurement of the liquid in it.

Volumetric pipette: These pipettes are extremely accurate but are useful for only one volume.

Pasteur pipette:  these pipettes are used for very small volumes which are not specific.

Burette: These are used for titrations or for the dispensing of certain volumes of liquid. The white plastic cock it has remains open when it is parallel to the instrument and remains closed when it is perpendicular. The burettes must be kept upside down when they are not in use.

Bunsen burner: The Bunsen burners are used to heat things and the hottest part of its flame is the top of the inner blue cone of the flame.

Dessicator: These equipments are used for removing moisture from the substances as well as the glassware of the labs.

Centrifuge: The centrifuges are used for separating the solids from the liquids that are present in the test tube. An even balanced number of test tubes are required by the centrifuges for working properly.

Pipette bulbs: A pipette bulb is installed at the end of pipette in order to aspire the liquid up in the pipette. But if it is aspired too much the liquid might enter into the bulb and contaminate it.

Ring stand: These clamps are used for holding equipments which cannot stand on their own.

Besides the above mentioned equipments, there are certain other equipments which can be easily available from the best chemistry lab equipment suppliers of your city.
