England Football - A History

Association football, more widely recognized as just football or soccer, is an organized team game played between a spherical ball and two teams of eleven players. It is played by about 250 million players in more than 200 countries and dependencies, which make it the most popular game in the world. In addition to being the most popular, it also is one of the oldest sports in the world and one of the first sports to be organized as a game. It was played between France and England during the 18th century.

The game of football can be divided roughly in three categories, including kicking, passing and goal keeping. Each of these categories has its own special rules. Kicking is the most basic form of football, where the ball is booted high up in the air and then hit on a surface. Passing is done by the forward who passes the ball from one side to another of both teams using either the feet or the hands. In the recent past, football has become even more popular, especially in Europe, where it enjoys huge popularity. Every four years, football gets even more exposure as teams from different countries battle it out for the title of " FIFA "Finals". Numerous football fanatics watch the World Cup, considered to be the most prestigious and anticipated event in the world of football.

The game of football can be divided into two sections: the outdoor game and the indoor game. The indoor game of football requires a minimum of three referees to call a match, whereas outdoor games often end in a scoreless draw. Most professional football players play either field football or on the terrace or in some cases on the street. Many fans throughout the world follow the two contrasting teams and enjoy a good game of football.
