Places To Stay In Cebu

Cebu, just south of Manila in the Philippines has improved through the years. A decade or two ago, there were not that many investments and tourists who flocked year but now, things have changed.

To date, it has 4 five-start hotels, a convention center that hosted last year's ASEAN summit, an international airport, casinos, white sand beaches and 2 major shopping malls.

One UK based magazine named this island paradise as the 7th best destination to visit in the Asian region in 2007 which was an improvement from 2005 in which it was ranked number 8.

But if you were are here only for a few days and the major hotels are full, pensionne houses seem to be practical. Cebu has more than ten more of them and only a few of them have websites which customers can look at.

When looking for a place to stay, think about where it is located. Is this near public transportation so you won't have a hard time catching a cab? Also, is it near the shopping district so that you don't have to travel very far to buy souvenirs and other items?
